UVA Polo Club
UVA Polo lives on a 75-acre training facility complete with fields, arenas, stables, barns and pastures. Now, men and women students who participate in the program also have a club house, or social space, where they can celebrate victories, share stories and relax with a game of ping-pong or foosball. The two-story structure with wrap-around porch is distinguished by new oak trusses in a vaulted ceiling, wide-width oak flooring, and a skylight. It also has apartments on the lower level. Alexander Nicholson acted as general contractor, collaborating with Charlottesville’s Stoneking von Storch Architects.
